After each battle, and sometimes through other events, players will be rewarded Crystogen. Using the Crystarium, the player can develop the roles of the characters and grant them new abilities.
Each role has it's own Crystarium tree, which can be leveled in any order that you see fit. While you might feel like finishing one at a time, it works better to level them evenly, as your character's level is based on the role they are currently playing and its development.
The following pages detail out each role and the abilities and bonuses achieved at each level of each role.
