The Spriggans are in an area where they are stuck for a few turns, giving you access to try and get rid of the Iron Knights before they start moving. However, the Iron Knights have an Evility that allow them to defend attacks from the front and side, so you're going to have to get behind them to do any real damage.
On the second enemy turn, the No Entry symbol moves, allowing the Spriggans to move and enter the battle. They can hit your characters from two spaces away, and they have an Evility that grants them 100% extra attack when their HP dips under 25%. That means you need to make sure you finish them off and not let them sit there with low health.
