The Miner Hat is a wearable light source similar in effect to the Torch. Instead of being carrier, it is worn on the head allowing you to still use a weapon or tool. Further, the Miner Hat lasts for about one in game day which is significantly longer than the Torch. On the downside, it uses much rare resources and can't be used to light things on fire if the need arises.
