Small Jerky can be made by using a Drying Rack with a small piece of uncooked meat (cooked meat won't work) such as: a Morsel, Frog Legs, Drumstick, Fish, or a Batilisk Wing. It takes the Batilisk Wing 2 days but the rest of the items only take 1 day to turn into Small Jerky. After that, they can be collected and eaten when you wish. While the Small Jerky doesn't provide any extra nourishment, it does give you additional health and a good sanity boost.
Because of the long shelf life of Jerky coupled with the health and sanity boost, this is a great item for long trips into dangerous areas.
