Butterfly wings are gained by killing a butterfly. They are decent for healing and much better than flower petals. For this reason, it is better to catch several butterflies and plant them near your base. This will create a flower patch which will attract butterflies that you can later kill for their wings. It will provide a steady supply of healing items since the Butterflies drop these 98% of the time.
