Welcome to the official Gamewise Dishonored walkthrough.
When you begin a New Game, you have the option to choose between four difficulties. Choose one that feels comfortable to you, and for those that are going after Achievements/Trophies, there are no difficulty-related ones.
- Easy - A casual experience for new players. Enemy damage is reduced, your health recovery is reduced and potions are more effective.
- Normal - Stealth and combat are moderately difficult. Default enemy damage and potion effectiveness.
- Hard - Increased challenge for experienced players. Enemies inflict increased damage and are more perceptive.
- Very Hard - A brutal experience for hardcore gamers. Enemies inflict extreme damage, have keen perception and potions are less effective.
Every mission in Dishonored can be played in one of two ways, either Low Chaos or High Chaos. A Low Chaos playthrough of a mission requires you to not get spotted at all by any guards or NPCs when sneaking around, as well as not killing anyone. A High Chaos playthrough of a mission doesn't require you to do anything, other than go completely wild, killing anyone and everything in your path.
Although the player can choose how to do each mission, for the purposes of the guide here, there will be two separate playthroughs of the game. One playthrough will be done in Low Chaos, while the other will be done in High Chaos.
