Nine years have passed and you are now a hunter for the tribe. You've got to teach your friend how to hunt and collect bird feathers. When you first gain control, you'll need to make your way up into the trees. The easiest way to get into the trees is from a stump. Find a tree that has been toppled (or a high cliff near trees) and run along the trunk of the tree. From here you can jump into the tree branches and navigate your way through them.
Now that you are in the trees, make your way over to the marked tree and learn how to climb to the top by hitting the buttons as prompted. After you've gotten to the top and taken a look around, you'll notice an eagle's nest not far away but outside of the valley. Try navigating the tree limbs to get there. Your goal is to get there without touching the ground or the water but large rocks are ok. When you cross the stream and get to the other side, your friend will try to follow but he's going to fall into the stream and you'll have to go back to help him so don't go too far.
You'll get closer to the next but your friend will be too afraid to climb the rock face. Continue on without him and make your way to the rocks. From here, you can scale the cliff and get up to the nest. The eagle will return and knock you out of the tree but you'll land in a pile of leaves.
Your friend will rejoin you and you'll need to collect a few more leaves for the tribe. There are two more nearby that you can grab with ease but take a look around the area to find the last feather to the south. When you've got them all, head to the green marker on your map.
