Step from one world into another.
The gateways formed by this spell are the only way to travel between this world and one of the many other worlds in existence. Casting Gateway requires you to focus your thoughts upon the world to which you travel. It is also imperative to imagine that you have already left the world in which you cast the spell.
Gateway is a spell that is used throughout the game, which allows Oliver to travel from his world (Motorville specifically) to Ni no Kuni, the other world. It does not cost any MP and is the very first spell that Oliver learns in the game.
This spell has a very useful trick associated with it, as it can be used to respawn enemies outside of dungeons. If you're looking for a specific Familiar and can't find it, cast Gateway to go to Oliver's world and then back to reset the monsters.
