Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch - Ding Dong Dell

With the Locket and two new spells in hand, you can finally get inside Ding Dong Dell. Before you do that, you'll need to do something to get the guard back to normal. You need to get a piece of heart that someone has access of, store it in your Locket, then give it to the person who is lacking it. Go up to the guard on the right and get some enthusiasm (Take Heart), then give to the guard on the left (Give Heart).

DING DONG DELL

You're now inside the city of Ding Dong Dell. There's a few things that should be done before you head to see the king. Head into the first building on the right and get the Cake from the vase at the bottom of the stairs. You can't head up the path on the right yet, so go towards the other path, grabbing 10 Guilders from the vase in the corner before going through the archway.

Once the cutscene is over, go into the shop with the star marker to get some new clothes. However, the lady only has one set of clothes for you, but she'll need to make some alterations and asks you come again tomorrow. Next, go to the building south of where you are, which is Swift Solutions. This is basically a place to get sidequests (Errands) and Bounty Hunts. Feel free to do some if you want, then when you're done, head to the Cat's Cradle (the inn). It will cost 10 Guilders to stay the night.

When you wake up, go to the Hootique and get your new clothes. Go north of where you are and into the next area. Before you head to the castle, head to the grave on the right side of the area and speak to the spirit behind it to receive the Spirit Medium spell; this is Horace and he will appear through the towns you visit, often giving you new spells. When you're ready, go to the star marker to continue.

AUDIENCE WITH THE KING

Speak to the guard and he says you can't get inside, because the king's precious red herring is missing. Drippy mentions that the palace moat is connected to the rivers in town, so the red herring might be in town somewhere. Head to the star and hop on the wooden poles, only for the fish to swim back towards the palace.

Go back to the second area and towards the large grave, where you'll find the red herring flopping in front of it. With it in hand (or rather Drippy's hands), head back and talk to the guard again. After your visit with the king, you're back outside and Drippy mentions that he seems to be brokenhearted.

He is lacking enthusiasm, but you can't borrow some from the same guard again. With Ding Dong Dell not being exactly small, the Telling Stone appears and mentions that the Locket can help locate someone with extra enthusiasm. They also glow green on the map, but for this one, it's marked with a star. Go to the person, who is a kid, and get some enthusiasm, then head back to the king to give him some.

For your prize, he'll give you a new wand, as well as some new spells, Spring Lock and Rejuvenate. He'll also let you buy equipment at the Cawtermaster's store in town. Go there to receive an explanation about how to equip Familiars and yourself. You can buy some if you'd like, but if you did the Errands and Bounty Hunt in the town already, you shouldn't need to buy anything. Head back to the palace to find the king is missing!

Drippy mentions again that people in this world and the real one are connected, so cast Gateway to get back to the real world. Head over to Leila's shop to find that Timmy the cat is also missing. Start by heading over to your house to find the spirit girl from the beginning of the game, so talk to her. Her name is Pea and she might know where Timmy is, so follow her to find Timmy. Drippy will pick him up, so bring Timmy back to Leila. With the mystery solved, cast Gateway to go back to Drippy's world.
