The path to Al Mamoon is littered with a lot of enemies, who will likely put a hurting on you and your Familiars. It might be best to get in as few battles as possible until you can manage to get to Al Mamoon. Once inside the city, Drippy will be craving some babanas, which is what Al Mamoon is famous for. Before that, you need to speak with the Great Sage Rashaad, who just happens to not be a sage anymore and sells babanas now.
Go into the Hootiques store and open the red chest for a Sandwich. Go and talk to Rashaad, who refuses to help you because his daughter had a piece of her heart stolen by Shadar. As you're walking away, Drippy mentions that it's more than just a piece of heart being stolen, and tells you to go back to your world to find her soul mate. Cast Gateway and head back to your world.
OLIVER'S WORLD
When you get to the first star marker, you'll spot the girl from the beginning of the game peeking out the window, who just happens to be the splitting image of Rashaad's daughter. Go around and to the front door, to find that no one answers it. A woman walking by tells you everything that's happening with that girl and her family. Afterwards, Drippy and Oliver decide to just barge in and talk to Myrtle.
Cast Spring Lock on the front door to find it doesn't open, which prompts Drippy to mention that some evil force seems to be blocking your magic. For now, head towards the garage until you see Pea run by, so head back over and talk to her, then go to the door to find that it's finally open somehow. After the conversation with Myrtle, head to the garage to the west.
Outside of the garage, Drippy says he has a bad feeling about this all and mentions to be ready in case. Go inside and you'll view a short scene with Myrtle's father. It turns out he's brokenhearted and a Nightmare, which is an evil spirit that latches onto the brokenhearted, is residing within him. Get ready for a boss battle!
BOSS: RUSTY'S NIGHTMARE |
| Get ready for a nasty battle, as this thing can be quite dangerous. Not only are its physical attacks moderately powerful, it can also inflict plenty of status ailments on you, like poison and blind. Foul Fumes is the attack that inflicts poison, but it only hits right in front of the boss, so it's easily avoided. The other attack, Hard Heart, is unavoidable and can inflict blind on you, as well as cause damage, so it might be best to use the Seed Sprite and avoid it. You also need to avoid running into the little balls it leaves behind, as they can damage you, too. So, the basic course of this battle is to attack with Mite and whenever you see the boss teleport away, switch to Seed Sprite and wait to evade after a second or so of it charging up its Hard Heart attack. If you get any Golden Glims, it's best to either let Mite or Oliver get them, as Seed Sprite's Miracle Move heals all party members, which you don't have yet. |
With the battle over and the Nightmare defeated, you still need to mend his heart, which needs a helping of kindness. Luckily, Myrtle's mother has some left over, so get the kindness and then give it to her father. Go back to Myrtle and some scenes will play out. It seems that now Myrtle is seething extra courage, so take some with you, then go back to Drippy's world.
You'll be back in Al Mamoon, so go back to Esther and you discover that she has finally opened her heart, but she's still brokenhearted. She needs some courage, which you just happen to have from your world. Give it to her to finally heal her completely, which prompts a scene to play out. In the end, Esther joins your party and you get four new spells, which are Puppet String, Secret Ingredient, Magic Lamp and Pulse. Your next stop is the Temple of Trials.
| NOTE |
| There are new Errands to do, as well as a new Bounty Hunt. With Esther now on your team, it's good to do any old Errands, as well as these new ones. Finish all of them if you can, hopefully getting some new equipment for your Familiars, which will save you some money. |
