It's time to purify the three cities back to their former glory. Note that the enemies encountered in the three towns are separate entries in the Creature Compendium, so if you're going for 100%, then you need to fight all of them. They are all listed as Wretch and consist of entries 387 to 396. They do drop some nice items, so feel free to fight some battles if you want. When you're ready, go into the castle to get into a boss battle!
BOSS: KING TOM XIV
This battle is a two-part one, with Tom being on four legs. He's not too bad in this stage, with him only having one big move, Crazy Claws. This hits all party members for some good damage, so try and do an All-Out Defense. Royal Roar is another move that hits in front of him, so don't bunch your characters too much. Once you deplete his health to zero the first time, he'll go to standing on two legs and become much stronger. Cat Slap targets one character for good damage, while Itchy Scratchy is his big move, hitting everyone for high damage and also inflicting poison. Try and steal from him, as he has some Cat King's Claws, which is a good piece of equipment.
After the battle, you'll view some more scenes and be back on board the Iron Wyvern. You can now go other places, although both Al Mamoon and Hamelin will be overrun by those creatures. For now, go to Ding Dong Dell and back to the monument in the second area to find Horace, provided you solved all of his riddles up to now. Solving this one will net you the Thunderstorm spell, which might come in handy in an upcoming battle. A new Errand will also pop up in each city once they've been Sanctify'ed, so do those if you want.
AL MAMOON
Al Mamoon is the next stop on the cleansing tour. There's not much else to do here besides go after any missing entries in your Creature Compendium, saving at the Waystone before the Cowlipha's chamber and going inside.
BOSS: QUEEN LOWLAH
The battle against the Cowlipha is similar to the one against King Tom, as she will being the battle on all fours. Royal Rush hits one character for big damage, but it's not too bad, while Haughty Huff hits in front of her in a line. She can also roll over and knock whoever gets hit onto the ground. She doesn't really have anything worth stealing, so don't bother. As with the previous battle, her first health reaching zero prompts her to stand on two legs, boosting her attack and gaining some new moves. Flying Cow has her jumping into the air and doing a body slam, hitting everyone for good damage, as well as stunning them. She also has Haughty Huff, which can hit you multiple times. When Drippy chimes in, he mentions using Burder to weigh her down so she can't use Flying Cow, so do that to get a chance for some free damage.
Two cities are down and there's one more to go, so use Travel to get to Hamelin and go inside. There are no shortcuts this time, so you'll have to trek a long way to the inside of the palace. Make sure you save before going inside, then you'll encounter the next boss in the circular room.
BOSS: PORCO LOCO
This fight is very similar to the one against Porco Rosso, although this one is a lot stronger. Sausage Roll makes it move quickly around the room, with it possibly hitting more than one person, although it only aims for one. Pigswill is a shot that hits one character. It is weak to storm attacks, so if you have any on your Familiars, use them to get a chance for free hits on it. If you managed to get Thunderstorm for Oliver from Horace, that is a great spell, as its casting time is very quick. Once the second phase of the battle begins, Porco Loco will increase its armor, but it's still weak to storm attacks. Pig Shot is a more powerful version of Pigswill, while the main attack you need to watch out for is Pork Scrappings. Porco Loco will spin around and throw debris at you, causing big damage if you don't defend/evade. Keep hitting it with storm attacks to bring it down quickly.
After the battle, you'll get some new formulae for alchemy and you'll end up back on the Iron Wyvern. You find out that your next destination is the ancient kingdom of Nazcaa. Before you head there, finish up the rest of the Errands that have opened up, then you can start heading to Nazcaa.
