When the First Flame began to fade, Lord Gwyn and his Silver Knights headed to the Kiln of the First Flame. In linking himself to the flame, Gwyn accidently prolonged the Age of Fire, became the Lord of Cinder, and created the curse of the undead. He now stands guard over the flame that he sacrificed himself for.
