Scattered across Hong Kong Island are 100 Lockboxes, which are small (about the size of a shoebox), blue boxes that flash. You will always get money from a Lockbox, but you may occasionally get some clothing, an outfit or even a weapon from some, in addition to money.
Lockboxes have a variety of different safety measures, although some you just can open with no worries. Some have a combination lock on it, which you open by turning the dial in the direction indicated and wait for the on-screen indicator to turn yellow (slow down) and turn green (stop when it does). Some are guarded by some thugs, which you have to defeat before you can open the lockbox, although sometimes you can sneak past them if they are nearby. Some Lockboxes are at a Drug Bust location, which is marked on your map by a pale blue shield icon.
NOTE - Finishing the dating side mission for Ilyana will mark the locations of the Lockboxes on your mini-map.
