Events

Events in Sleeping Dogs are mostly random, which will not appear on your map until you're almost on top of them. The only event not like this are Drug Busts, which are marked on your map as blue shield icons.

Races

You will first get the taste of racing during the Hotshot Case, which will open up races across the game.  Races are divided by Class, with Class D vehicles not having any races available at all. You will have a C and B Class vehicle given to you during the game, but the other ones will have to be bought.

Collectibles

There are plenty of collectibles in Sleeping Dogs, which when gotten, will provide Wei with extra health, new martial arts moves, and even money and new clothes. Also, they are a great way to increase experience for your various stats. There are a total of 50 Health Shrines, 100 Lockboxes, 11 Jade Statues, and 26 Security Cameras. It becomes easier, as you can unlock the ability to have the collectibles on your mini-map by completing various dating side missions.

Stat Awards

Stat Awards are a set of 30 challenges that can be viewed in the Social Hub, either from the main menu or from Wei's phone. Each one has three different objectives, indicated by Bronze, Silver and Gold. These don't really have an impact on 100%, and are mostly for completionists or those hunting for Trophies/Achievements.

Cheats

Cockfights are one of the easiest ways to get a lot of money, but the only one that allows you to bet high money is the one in Kennedy Town. This one has a max bet of $100,000, meaning it's possible to double your money if you win. SAVE YOUR GAME before betting and bet on the rooster with the most wins. If you don't win, then reload your save and try again.
