The Camoflague ability makes a return in Halo 4. It operates similarly to how it did in Halo: Reach, allowing you to cloak while scrambling the enemy's radar. The more still you are, the more effective your camo. The radar scrambling is a little less effective than it was before. It still creates phantom signals on the enemy radar but they all appear as blue signals rather than red signals. Normal signals still display as red, allowing a player to easily distinguish between fake signals and real ones.
Because of the short coming of the radar disruption, active camo has been used more to trick players eyes instead of for scrambling. When used in conjunction with long range weapons like the Light Rifle or various Sniper Rifles, it can be quite effective. It is also useful in cases where players aren't looking at their radar, such as when driving a vehicle.
