Solace is a medium sized roughly symetrical map. There are two raised platforms on either end to snipe from that are higher than most of the map. There is a mid-level that spans most of the map with a high side on one end and a low side on the other. In the middle is a hole that leads down to a bottom level. There's also a lift from this section leading you back up.
If you manage to keep the upper level to yourself, you'll have a huge advantage. To counter this, take a Thruster Pack along the outer edges where there's a lot of cover.
The Jet Pack can be pretty useful for taking the upper levels and the Regeneration field is decent around the outside of the middle level. The DMR is the dominant weapon on this map but on certain parts of the map, the BR can be quite useful as well. However, on those sections, it's generally better to take the Assault Rifle.
