Adrift is a map with an open central area (indoors) and a system of outdoor catwalks that wrap around the outside of the structure. Most of these catwalks are connected via a series of one way man cannons. Between the central open area and the catwalks are a series of hallways. Inside the open room are a bunch of platforms along the outer wall and in the center is a platform that raises up to a mech work station.
Most combat takes place in the indoor sections of the ship. At first it will happen in the central room but this usually spills into the hallways where people will use the corners for cover and the outdoor platforms for flanking. Early on, the DMR tends to be slightly better in the open area of the central room but later on a BR might be better for the hallways.
A Jetpack can be useful for the central area but more commonly, the Regenerative field can be quite useful for healing teammates in the hallways during DMR/BR skirmishes.
