This new playlist is similar to FFA Slayer in that you gain points by killing enemies. It alters this formula by adding a "King" role which is held by the current score leader. The longer the King survives, the more bonuses he gets to stay that way. The more enemies he kills as king, the higher his bounty. The bounty is the number of points you will get INSTEAD of the normal kill points and is marked along with the King's location at all times. The King's bounty starts off at atleast 5 points over a normal kill but can work it's way up to being worth multiple kills.
Since King of the Hill is a free for all game, it can be a little tough to pick what you should bring to the fight. Frequently the matches take place on smaller maps and the Assault Rifle can really make the match for you. However, on some of the larger maps with long sight lines, the precision weapons can make for a late come from behind victory. This really depends on how aggressively you like to play.
I would almost certainly go with the Magnum as it is going to be more versatile on the small-medium maps. After that, your choice of armor ability can really depend on the map. A Jet Pack would be fantastic on Haven, for instance. I would stay away from awareness altering armor abilities though. Since people will always know where the King is, things like Promethean Vision or Active Camo have diminished usefulness.
The Support packages can also vary wildly depending on the map, the playstyle and your current role in the game. If you are playing as the king, shield recharge would be very useful and Mobility is great for this fast paced games.
