The Kantus is a sort of religious leader amongst the Locust Horde. While the functions of their religion are not known, the effects of it are very clear. A single Kantus is capable of taking any living Locust, no matter who badly wounded, and getting them back into the fight. This encouragement comes in the form of a loud scream. This scream can also stun or even knock down COG Gears. In Beast or Overrun modes, this scream takes the form of a healing effect on any living ally within range.
While the Kantus' main job is healing allies, it is also a formidable combatant. It is as capable with weapons as any drone though it tends to come equipped with either a Hammerburst or (more frequently) a Gorgon Pistol. They are also generally the only source of Ink Grenades as well.
