The Torque Bow is one of the deadliest weapons in the game for two reasons. The weapon is hyper accurate while remaining in third person view, has an explosive tip that kills enemies instantly if it connects with any part of the body, and doesn't have many of the drawbacks of other weapons such as tracer lights that give away your position. Further, a truly skilled player can actually hit the first target's head (instant kill) and have it hit a target behind them to get two kills with a single bolt (or more if they are close to other targets).
The only drawback to the weapon is that you have to charge the weapon up before it will have enough punch to stick to your target. This can take a little bit of time but it can be charged while behind cover and then released after taking aim. Further, the active reload reduces the charge time to only about 1/3 of what it normally is, allowing you to shoot an almost continuous stream of bolts if you can keep up the perfect reloading.
