The Lambent or "Dark" Wretch is similar to the normal Lambent Wretch in a lot of ways but it has been exposed to excessive amounts of Imulsion. What results is an extra aggressive glowing Wretch that explodes on death.
While one of the most effective methods of dealing with Wretches is to use the Lancer Mk1 bayonet or the Gnasher shotgun, these methods don't work on the Lambent Wretches. Using such a technique would result in significant damage to the player from the resulting explosion. Instead, it is much safer to shoot them from range. When stuck in close combat, back up and shoot from the hip with whatever weapon you have (a Lancer or Retro Lancer has the best results).
