The One-Shot is the most powerful projectile based weapon in the game and only the Hammer of Dawn surpasses it in sheer power. The One-Shot acts a lot like the Longshot and only chambers a single shot at a time. Once the weapon is loaded, you need to aim through the scope for a moment before the weapon is charged. During this time, the weapon shows a beam in the air and emits a noise that indicates its use and your location. Once it is charged, the beam changes colors so enemies know.
However, after all of that work, the weapon is then able to kill anything it hits. It is the only weapon known to be able to go straight through a Mauler's shield and kill the person holding it. Even the giant Reavers can be killed in a single shot. With that kind of power, it is advised that you use the entire alotted ammo that you have but do so careful because it makes you a huge target. Also try to keep in mind that with that kind of power, it can be quite a waste to use it on weaker targets.
