The Beacon grenade is potentially the most useful grenade in the game though it's unfortunately not available in campaign. This grenade is used by the scout to scan an area. When the grenade is tossed, it activates a scanner that indicates the locations of items, enemies, and allies near where it landed. For a good player, this information can be more valuable than anything else though for some great players, it may not be necessary.
