The Breechshot is a Locust weapon made from a modified Markza Rifle. The weapon has had the clip sized reduced significantly, the scope completely removed, and a sharp blade affixed to the bottom of the gun. Interestingly, it's probably more accurate to compare this to a opposite end of the shotgun spectrum from the Sawed-Off Shotgun where it packs a lot of power, shoots at a medium pace but carriers the power indefinitely instead of spreading it.
The weapon can hit particularly hard and the bullet can carry quite far but because of the modifications, aiming over a long distance can be quite difficult. For this reason, it's best used at close to medium range. In most cases, it's probably not worth using over the Lancer Mk2 which is far more versatile but this weapon is capable of getting headshots which makes it invaluable against raging Ragers (which is ironic since they are the only enemy to carry it).
