At this time, it hasn't been officially confirmed that the standard stable of Gears of War gametypes will be making a return however Cliff Blezinski slipped up during an interview and stated that Free for All was a great mode for getting players ready for the tougher modes like Team Death Match. This does not mean that they are necessarily in but hints strongly.
At the moment, only two modes have been revealed for the game but both modes are all new gametypes. Free-For-All is in the game for the first time for Gears of War. It is a fast, crazy game that results in a lot of deaths but is also great for working out the mechanics of how online matches work.
The second gametypes is called OverRun and is a unique gametype to Gears of War. With the introduction of Horde Mode in Gears of War 2 and Beast Mode in Gears of War 3, Overrun seemed like the next logical step. It is sort of a combination of the two gametypes that creates a match where players play on both sides. They take turns defending and attacking, with the defenders playing a similar game to Horde and the attackers play similarly to Beast.
