The Armored Kantus is a very rare and elite unit. Unlike the normal Kantus, it is largely an offensive enemy and very tough to kill. The armor he wears covers his entire body while providing sharp protrusions all over. This will protect him from almost all damage while giving him a new ability. He will roll up in a ball and then rush at you to deal massive damage. When not using this attack, he'll use his dual Gorgon Burst Pistol to deal very rapid damage.
While the Armored Kantus can't or doesn't generally heal others, it has a screach attack that can stun enemies and does heal itself a small amount. When they open their mouth is when you want to attack because inside their mouth is the only point that is particularly vulnerable. To force them to do this, hit them with some kind of explosive (Frag Grenade, Boomshot, Torque Bow). This will stun it for a second before he starts screaming. When he does, either aim for the mouth or hit him with another explosive to finish him.
