You come across the Wreck of the Ice Sickle after fighting your way through Gateway Harbor in the Southern Shelf. The Ice Sickle is the ship of the brothers Boom and Bewm who use it as a camp with a built in large canon defense system.
The deck of the ship is the center of a boss fight involving the two brothers in which you have to balance staying in cover to avoid the canon shots from Big Bertha with avoiding grenades and Psychos on the deck.
You have to cross through this area to get to the Soaring Dragon during the mission "Best Minion Ever".
