- 4 Eridium
Handsome Jack is holed up in Hero's Pass, which is where the Warrior is buried, but to get through the defenses, you're going to need Claptrap's help. There are also optional objectives to talk to Tannis, Zed and Scooter, so do that first. Tannis will give you a Relic, Zed will give you a Shield, and Scooter will give you a Grenade. Three more optional objectives will show up after; talking to Moxxi (gun), Hammerlock (gun) and Marcus (gun). Once you have talked to everyone, talk to Claptrap and then go to Eridium Blight.
Go to the waypoint marker and talk to Claptrap, then follow him to a closed door. You will need to "defend" Claptrap from enemies (he doesn't get targeted), and the first two waves are very easy. The third wave is a little tougher, as there will be turrets and WAR Loaders thrown into the mix of GUN and HOT Loaders. The fourth, and final, wave includes Badass Loaders, as well as some Surveyors. Once the doors are open, continue on alone to Hero's Pass.
HERO'S PASS
Hero's Pass is a pretty straightforward place, with only really one linear path. Move along the path, taking out Loaders and Hyperion Personnel, until you come to a spot where a large dropship appears. Mordecai and Brick show up, getting rid of it, but a barrier will block your progress. Mordecai will clear it, so continue until you come to another spot blocked, with a lot of Loaders dropping in. Once again, Mordecai will clear the blockage, so continue on the path until Mordecai and Brick go away and you're left alone.
As you continue along the path, you'll encounter a lot more Hyperion Personnel, Loaders and even a Constructor. Eventually, you'll come to the next area, Vault of the Warrior, so go inside. Continue along the path until you reach a fast travel station and some vendors; the final battle is coming up, so if you want to do anything else beforehand, do it now. Whenever you're ready, head to the waypoint to begin the first phase of the final battle.
HANDSOME JACK
The first part of the final battle is against Handsome Jack himself. One of the first things you'll notice is that he is able to create clones of himself, which will come after you and use a melee attack; they are easily disposed of, so they shouldn't be too much trouble. He can also summon Loaders to the battle, so try andtake those out if you can. While Jack still has his shield, he can cloak himself and he tends to move around a lot, making it hard to keep track of him sometimes.
In addition to summoning Loaders, he can also lay down some turrets and mines on the ground. As far as his actual attacks, he can fire electric bolts at you, as well as shoot out an energy beam from each of his hands. He can also call in a special Surveyor, Jack's Protector Surveyor, which will create a shield around Jack; it won't take long to destroy the Surveyor, and Jack can summon it again.
The battlefield also have Volcanic Rakk flying around, and if you disturb one, there will be a flock of them coming after you. It's best to just leave them alone, as they really shouldn't bother you at all. Remember to keep moving around and if you die, it might be best to keep a Loader around (Rakk will work, too) for a Second Wind. Once you get Jack's health all the way down, he will summon The Warrior.
THE WARRIOR
The Warrior is big, quite powerful, and only has a handful of weak spots. He has a weak spot inside his mouth, which you can get a shot at when he opens it to spew fire across the ground. It can also smack its tail against the ground, which can launch you into the air, which can be dangerous as you can land in the lava. Another attack The Warrior has is firing a purple laser from its tail.
When you see The Warrior jump up and dive into the lava, you will want to get to higher ground, as the lava will rise. Volcanic Rakk will also be in the skies in this battle, and there's a higher chance of hitting them by mistake, since The Warrior is so large. Also, Volcanic Crystalisks will spawn, and they will attack you; they can be dangerous because of their crystal bomb, which might knock you into the lava.
As said before, The Warrior has some weak spots, one of which is in the inside of its mouth. Another weak spot is around its heart, but you need to break the plates on it before its exposed; there are also spots on the sides that operate the same. Once you bring its health all the way down, it will drop its head to the ground.
THE FINALE
When you deplete all of The Warrior's health, it will drop its head onto the ground. Head over to the console and press the button to send a laser from the base to destroy The Warrior once and for all. Jack will now be exposed and to end it, just shoot him to finally put an end to his life. Pick up all of the loot you want, then press the final thing to watch the credits.
| NOTE - After watching the credits, you'll unlock True Vault Hunter Mode (on first playthrough), which is a second playthrough with a higher difficulty, better loot and even new enemies. You will be back in the area where you killed The Warrior, and are free to do any optional missions you may have left. TVHM is only accessible from the main menu. |
