Mordecai won two prizes in Moxxi's Underdome a few years ago. The story goes that he won two prizes that day. The first prize was a chest filled with loot and the second was Moxxi herself. The latter he lost to Handsome Jack and the former was lost to a thief named Carson. Mordecai is uninterested in the loot but offers to help you find it if you'd like to keep it. Talk to Mordecai and then head out into the Dust to start your search.

Head there and get a vehicle, then jump off the large ramp when going towards the waypoint marker to get to Goose's Roost. You'll have to make your way to the back of the camp but if you angle slightly to the left as you hit the jump, you should land on the rooftops allowing you to cross the camp more easily. Go around and down some stairs to find a body underneath a piece of a building, who turns out to be Carson's brother.
When you listen to the ECHO that was on the body, Mordecai says that Gettle kidnapped Carson and has him in the Hyperion Friendship Gulag, so head there. This area is filled with Loaders, Combat Engineers and Surveyors, so fight your way to where the waypoint is located. You will find Carson in a small cell, dead, so pry open the bars (action button) and get his ECHO. It turns out the stash is buried back in The Dust, so head back there.
The waypoint is located near where you entered The Dust, but you can't get to it from where you are. You need to go through Ellie's Garage and out the other side, fighting Spiderants until you get to an open area with a building. There is a path leading uphill, which is the one you want to take. When you get to a house with graves in front of it, you're in the right spot.
When you first get there and your mission updates, you need to search the graves with the action button until a chest pops up. When you do that, Mobley and Gettle both show up, wanting the treasure of course, but you will need to kill them both in a three way showdown. Gettle is armored, and both have shields and use pistols. Once you kill them both, open the chest to have a bunch of guns pop out, then turn the mission in to receive your reward.
