You've found three of the four compass pieces and now it's time to track down the last piece. Captain Scarlett has an idea where to start. You can start this mission after completing the mission "Two Easy Pieces". You may want to take the mission "Just Dessert for Desert Deserters" and kill the first two targets before continuing on with this mission.

Leave the ship and you're headed for the Rustyards in the NE part of Wurmwater. When you get there, you'll find a pirate camp loaded up with enemies. You'll have to work your way through the camp to get into the Rustyards. Unfortunately, you'll have to go through on foot to get there.
When you get out of your Skiff, go up the stairs and you'll encounter your first few enemies. Take them out and cross the bridge to find a few pirates scattered around some huts. When you get a little further in, start checking the ridge line in the distance to your right to find a large auto-turret on a tower. You'll also find one further ahead of you on the left side of a large gate. Keep an eye out for that.
You'll encounter some Corsairs and pirates in this area. Kill them and then search just to the right of the gate to find the lever that opens it. This is when the second Auto-Turret may spawn so be on your guard. Destroy the turret and get through the gate to get to the Rustyards.
Rustyards
Inside the Rustyards, you'll find some vending machines off to the left and up ahead, you'll see what looks like a Bounty Board but it isn't. After stocking up on ammo and selling, move further along on the left side and you'll start encountering various pirates with a heavy emphasis on Anchormen. It would be very useful to have a rocket launcher on hand because they can block shots but a rocket can still deal massive damage. The best thing you can do is keep your distance and stay in cover but watch out for being dragged around by his anchors.
Once through the first group, move up and you'll come to a large gate and be attacked by more anchormen. To get through the gate, you need to kill all of these enemies. While you might feel tempted to stay here and fight, remember that there's a pretty good amount of space behind you so back up if you need to. Be careful around this area because except for the direction you came from, the area behind the houses is empty. If one of the Anchormen throws you this way, you'll fall off the cliff and die.
Once you get inside, you'll find a bunch of stairs and be attacked by a few corsairs but after the anchormen, they shouldn't be a problem. Take them out and walk into the tunnel. Turn right and you'll see a sort of town in here. Try to go up the left side of the camp and you can climb to the upper levels. Up here you will have a better vantage for combat but you can also scrambled across to the other side without fighting at all. You'll encounter all types of pirates including some Brute and cursed pirates.
When you get about half way through here, you'll find that the area is actually divided in two. Drop down below and go through the doorway to get to the next area. Once on the other side, you can continue on as you had before but there's not as much elevation so be a little bit more careful. In the back left corner of this area, you can also find the last of the Deserters for "Just Desserts for Desert Deserters". Just be careful because the big guy carries a rocket launcher. On the right side you will see a bridge the spans the chasm. You want to get to this bridge and cross to the other side whether you kill the pirates or not but be prepared for Spiderants on the other side.
When you get to the other side, kill the spider ants and start heading north again. You should quickly come across a large anchor with a platform that you can stand on. Get on and pull the lever to ride the anchor up to the platform above. Walk off the anchor and onto the pier like walkway. When you get on solid ground, turn right and you'll see another walkway that leads to a house that sits over the gorge below. Knock on the door to meet Herbert. Talk to Herbert once more to complete the mission.
