Haafingar is located in northwest Skyrim, its capital is Solitude. The Jarl of Haarfingar is Elisif the Fair.
As containing the capital of Skyrim, it is the center of the Imperial Legion rule. It can become run by Stormcloakes as part of the Civil War Quest Line.
Haafingar is dominated by a large ridge that runs the length of the hold. Pine forests and meadows cover the southern slopes down to the Karth river, while the north side is bordered by frozen coastline.
