Winterhold is a hold located in northeast Skyrim, with its capital in the city of Winterhold. It is controlled by the Stormcloaks, but can be captured by the Imperial Legion as part of the Civil War Quest Line.

One of the most important features of Winterhold is the College of Winterhold, a school for mages.

Winterhold consists mainly of snowy costs and mountains. It borders The Pale and Eastmarch.

There is only one main road in Winterhold. It runs from Whiterun to Windhelm and passed by the city of Winterhold.
